Institutions such as the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) have published peer-reviewed research examining the effects of focused intention and distant healing. A notable study by Dean Radin et al. (2015) found statistically significant effects suggesting that intention may interact with biological systems, even without physical contact.
