I am beyond elated when I think about that day.
Beyond grateful.
Two warriors.
And the younger one, the one who went to combat and came back and eventually walked out of the church and found himself on the floor of a crystal shop saying "you had me at crystal" - that man got to give his father something.
Not a lesson.
Not a theology.
Not a framework or a method or a set of ideas.
An experience.
A direct experience of something that the performance-based, compliance-oriented, hold-the-line life they both lived had never quite allowed.
Whatever you call it, peace, presence, frequency, grace, my father felt it.
At 83.
In a sound bath.
With crystal bowls.
The life that was always waiting for you isn’t age-restricted.
It’s not background-restricted.
It does not require a particular kind of history or a particular kind of readiness.
It just requires showing up.
And being honest enough to receive what is actually there.
